Our 7th visit to this wonderful course, laid out in 1895 on the same estate that housed Brooklands, the world’s first motor racing circuit. Sitting amongst many illustrious neighbours such as West Hill, Woking, Worplesdon, and Sunningdale, it loses nothing in comparison as it weaves amongst pines, heather, and rhododendrons. Each hole is secluded from all others, offering an amazingly tranquil aura - it is often justifiably referred to as Surrey’s ‘hidden gem.’
The traditional clubhouse is a rambling treat, a throwback in time. Names on the clubhouse lockers are crossed off and re-written underneath as ownership changes. Our relationship with the club is excellent, with staff both on and off the course ensuring everyone is made welcome throughout the day. The food is superb - the course always in immaculate condition. We can’t wait to return.
The itinerary
- 0830 Meet for tea/coffee & bacon rolls
- 0930 18 holes - Individual Stableford - yellow tees
- Nearest the Pin - 16th
- After play, return to the clubhouse for a 4 course lunch & prizegiving
The prizes
- Individual winner to receive a bottle of Moët et Chandon champagne
- Runner up & winner of Nearest the Pin to receive a bottle of Chateauneuf du Pape
Optional afternoon play
- After lunch, more optional golf (as many holes as you like) is included in the price
- Peter will be on hand to organise groups/tee times for all of you who wish to play
