West Hill
After 2 wonderful ‘sold out’ events in recent times, we return again to one of our most delightful courses which regularly features in Top Golf’s 100 best courses in the UK & Ireland. It has become a firm favourite with all who have played it with IGC, many thinking it’s the best course they have ever played, & others making immediate membership enquiries!
As one of the famous 3 ‘W’s ( we are at Worplesdon next month) the course was co-designed in 1907 by Jack White & Willie Park Junior, both Open Champions. With a few changes made after the 1st WW, the course has remained essentially the same. This stunning heathland course of pine, birch & heather, is in immaculate condition all year round.
Practice facilities are second to none, boasting a 300 yard driving range, a chipping green, practice bunkers & 3 practice nets. Prior to teeing off at the 12th, phone your order through to collect from the excellent halfway hut adjacent to the 12th green. Do not be fooled by a mere ploughmans lunch after play. This self service offering is top notch.
